Buy the 263 Unisex Countryside Frock Coat sewing pattern from Folkwear. The frock coat was worn for casual outdoor activities in the English countryside in the 1700s, for formal or dress fashion in the 1800s, and for businesswear in the early 1900s. Today, it's the perfect choice for historic reenactments as well as a fresh contemporary look.
This single-breasted unlined coat features a shawl collar, princess seams in the back, waist darts in the front (women's coat only), a slightly lowered waistline, long narrow sleeves with banded cuffs, and an above-knee peplum with a back vent.
